Project Overview

The project upgraded the lighting across four tennis courts at Alcheringa Tennis Club, utilizing existing tilt poles. The outdated metal halide lights were inefficient, unreliable, and costly to maintain. The upgrade provided an energy-efficient, reliable, and compliant solution that met the “Tennis – Club Competition and Commercial” lighting standard as per AS/NZS 2560.2.2021. 

Scope Details

Site Assessment & Planning: 

    • Conducted a survey of the current lighting and electrical system. 

    • Designed a new lighting layout to meet AS/NZS 2560.2.2021 standards, improving illumination and efficiency. 

Lighting Audit: 

    • Performed a pre-installation lighting audit to assess the existing system’s performance, light levels, and energy consumption. 

Removal of Existing Lighting: 

    • Decommissioned and removed the outdated metal halide fixtures and components. 

New Lighting Installation: 

    • Installed energy-efficient LED sports lighting, ensuring proper alignment and compliance with AS/NZS 2560.2.2021. 

    • Upgraded the electrical infrastructure to support the new system. 

Testing & Commissioning: 

    • Tested the new lighting to ensure optimal performance and compliance with required standards. 

    • Conducted electrical load testing to ensure efficiency and safety. 

Post-Installation Audit & Support: 

    • Performed a post-installation lighting audit to verify improvements in light levels, uniformity, and energy efficiency. 

    • Provided maintenance training to the Alcheringa Tennis Club team and offered a warranty for long-term support.
