Under the latest Victorian Government rental laws, Electrical Safety checks are mandatory for rental properties every two years, and Smoke Alarm checks are required yearly.

Our fully qualified JAAZ Electrical team will inspect your rental property and provide a comprehensive, detailed report outlining the state of your property and what work needs to be completed to comply with regulations.

The Residential Tenancy Act further states that by 29 March, 2023, all rentals will be required to have safety switches installed in the switchboard so that all circuits are protected in the event of a fault. Switchboard faults can result in serious injury, house fires and death. As part of the JAAZ Home Safety Service, our team will inspect the main switchboard to address unsafe switches and provide a comprehensive switchboard upgrade quote to allow landlords to address the safety issue promptly. As well as any other issues that need addressing throughout.

    • A confirmation email is sent once their booking is confirmed by our administration team.
    • A reminder SMS is issued at 9am the day prior to the scheduled appointment.
    • A reminder email is issued an hour prior to the scheduled appointment.
  • A manual booking system via phone call to our administration staff is also available if the tenant would prefer.
